美杉町は、その昔伊勢の国司（今でいう県庁所在地）として大変栄えていました。今で も歴史遺産や文化・風習が多く残っています。また、戦後は林業を基幹産業とし て町は潤いましたが、現在では限界集落といえるほど人口減少、少子高齢化に悩まさ れています。 しかし、美杉町には町を元気にしたいというたくさんの元気が溢れています。色んな 道のプロフェッショナルも存在します。美杉リゾートは、宿泊施設の枠を超えて、 様々なステークホルダーを繋ぐ役割を果たしていきます。食材や資材など可能な部分 は地域の企業・個人からの調達を意識し、商品開発やツーリズムにおいても連携 し、産業連関を生み出すことに努めます。

Once upon in a time, Muromachi period, Misugi was a capital city of this prefecture. A lot of historical heritages and cultural customs still remain in Misugi. Although after the World War 2, forestry was the main industry in Misugi, it declined nowadays. Misugi is facing a serious problem "depopulation", "decreasing birthrate" and "aging population".
However, many energetic persons exist in Misugi who want to empower our area. There are a lot of professionals in each industries.
